• Clean Fragrance Oils: We chose oils that go above and beyond current IFRA standards to make sure they're all as clean and safe as possible, eliminating known hazardous and harmful ingredients. All of our fragrance oils are Phthalate Free, Paraben Free, Carcinogen, Mutagen, Reproductive Toxin (CMR) Free, Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic Substances (PBTs) Free, Polyethylene Glycols (PEGs) Free, Per- and polyflouroalkyl substances (PFAS) Free, Lilial, Free, and BHT Free. Every fragrance is also California Prop 65 compliant.

Burning Instructions:

• First Burn: Burn the candle until the wax melts evenly to the edge of the jar to prevent tunneling (anywhere from 2-4 hours).
  
  
• Subsequent Burns:
  • Edge-to-Edge Burning: Try to achieve a full melt pool (liquid wax covering the entire surface) with each burn to prevent tunneling.
  • Trimming the Wick: Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn to promote an even burn and to prevent the wick from becoming too long and causing smoking, uneven burning, or to melt too quickly.
  • Burn Time: Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. 
  • Tunneling: If your candle tunnels, loosely wrap tin foil around the top of the jar, leaving an opening on top for air flow. Burn for 20-40 minutes until even melt pool occurs. Do not burn too long or else the wick can drown. 
  • Safety: Always burn on heat safe surface, away from anything flammable. Never leave unattended, especially with children and pets.

Wax Removal:

• Step 1: Preheat oven to 190°F 
• Step 2: Place the marble/onyx jar in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes or until left over wax is fully melted.
• Step 3: Carefully remove the jar using oven mitts to avoid burns.
• Step 4: Carefully dispose of left over wax and wicks. 

Cleaning Soot:

• Step 1: Allow the jar to cool to a safe handling temperature.
• Step 2: Dampen a soft cloth or paper towel with rubbing alcohol.
• Step 3: Gently wipe the exterior or interior of the jar to remove any residual soot or wax.
• Step 4: Repeat as necessary until the surface is clean.

Refilling the Jar:

• Step 1: Ensure the jar is completely clean, dry, and cool before refilling.
• Step 2: Insert new To Phōs nontoxic candle refill.
• Step 3: Refer to Burning instructions for how to burn

Stone: Onyx and Marble are natural materials with unique characteristics, meaning that no two pieces are identical. Consequently, all items will differ in color, pattern, and appearance. The images on this website serve as references only. As a natural product, it may feature fine surface lines and small pits that do not affect the item's overall use or quality.

Transparency: Onyx is naturally more translucent and Marble is more opaque. Consider how much light you want filtered before deciding on a vessel.
